Wolfen of Yllia
The Wolfen are the greatest predators on Aarklash. It is folly to believe that in them a portion of humanity has ever existed. This mysterious race of Wolf-life beings considers all others as prey. These are not simple were-wolves: The Wolfen are a warrior culture with few peers. Barbaric, ritualistic and war-like the Wolfen know no fear, and there are few opponents that will stand against their furious assaults.
Many believe the Wolfen were once men, or more accurately were-wolves who stood as men during daylight hours. However this is not the case, the Wolfen are a result of the evolution of the pure wolf. Just as man came from ape, the Wolfen are the descendant of the pack wolf.
Many traits remain today, they are still the greatest of pack hunters, the pack leader (The "Alpha" Male) commands his pack with utter respect and obedience, they are ultimate hunters and predators with no mercy.
There is still in-fighting as you would expect with any pack animals, especially ones as ferocious as the Wolfen. The Pack leader may change from time to time - but the leader will always be the strongest, smartest and greatest warrior of his time.
The Wolfen are all massive creatures standing well over 8 feet tall (most of the superb Wolfen models stand over 50mm on the tabletop) the largest are simply HUGE! There are various types of Wolfen, warriors, mages, hunters, predators, crossbow-wolves and truly lethal chracters - but in any combination they make a formidable army. As you can see for yourself:

Wolfen are best on the attack, their speed, high attack strenths and skill will overpower almost any opponent as long as they don't get bogged down. Wolfen are superb at encircling their opponents, slicing them apart with furious assaults and guerilla tactics. Their speed is their key to victory - the Wolfen can hit the enemy from all sides before they even know they are about to become the Wolfen's prey (lunch).
When fighting against Wolfen - large numbers help. An opponent of the Wolfen must outnumber and overpower the Wolfen with strength of numbers: There are few opponents that can outmanouver or outfight the Wolfen.
