On the inside of Mount Aegis the Dwarves of Tir-Nâ-Bor bide their time, forging weapons, inventing terrifying new steam-powered machines and readying them
selves for the end of days.
Under the protection of their natural fortress, the Dwarves of Tir-Nâ-Bor move on unflinchingly toward their destiny. The Dwarves have known the future of the world for a long time, and for hundreds of generations they have been forging the weapons for Argg-Am-Ork, the end of their days.
Sure, they rarely venture out of their territory, but their territory stretches farther than most would think. Tunnels and ancient underground passageways cover thousands of miles, many are disused or have been lost to interlopers, some have been reclaimed by nature, but the dwarves of Tir-na-bor can still surprise their enemies by appearing from some long-forgotten tunnel.
The Dwarves are confident of their ability to alter destiny, they are looking for ways to influence the future as it happens. With the strength of steel and their terrifying steam machines they believe they will triumph over what the weak call fate. Dwarves look on all other races as weaklings, either for not having the strength to turn destiny, or for not having the physical or mental strength to forge steel, fortresses and machinery. The dwarves are a hardy people, forged almost as hard as their steel armour, the Tir-na-bor dwarves are a people to weather any storm.

There is one thing you should know about Dwarves, they are tough! Damn tough! I haven't come across and faction as yet that are as hard-to-kill as dwarves.
They are two main reasons for this: Hard-Boiled and their naturally high Resilience. Hard-Boiled is one of the best (most frustrating for opponents) special abilities that can be found in the Confrontation rulebook in terms of defence, or survival. Basically it means any wound caused is automatically read one line lower, and therefore the wound applied is one level lower. This can mean that you can keep causing light wounds, that would normally add up to something more serious (or dead), but with Hard-Boiled it can add up to a big fat zero if your hits don't land in the right place. This is really useful on it's own but when you combine it with dwarven high resilience the Dwarves become nigh-on unstoppable.
All-in-all the Tir-Na-Bor dwarves are reliable, tough and strong which is a good combination for Confrontation. Their characters are really quite hard and they have some devastating magic on their side. The armoured dwarves look great, especially when painted in a traditional bronze or earthy colour. They are let down a bit by the basic warriors who whilst they are quite tough, they are no where near as good as the armoured warriors. We really need Rackham to release the Armoured Khor warriors on Razorback as these elites do vast amounts of damage and fit in far better with the characteristics and overall look of what the Dwarf army should be. However, until then we'll just have to put up with lots of dwarf flesh on the more basic razorback riders and warriors (at least they're cheap and still quite hard)
However we now have the likes of Kael the Irascible and the new Dwarf Armoured Chariot which are both heavily armoured and will crush anything in their way (particularly the chariot) the Dwarves have enough hitting power to really devastate other factions, especially those with light armour. In summary the Dwarves are tough beyond belief, do lots of damage and have the armour and equipment to smash through almost any defence. It's just a shame they are so damned slow! Their slowness can make them easy targets for ranged weapons (although they'll shrug off all but the luckiest of hits) and in combat they will more often then not lose the initiative. Most of the time they are tough enough to survive to hit back - but against stronger opponents they can be mnade to suffer
